Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (French: Aéroport de Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle, IATA: CDG, ICAO: LFPG), generally called Roissy Airport (name of the close-by district), is the greatest all inclusive air terminal in France and the second greatest in Europe. Opened in March 1974, it is named after Charles de Gaulle (1890–1970), pioneer of the Free French Forces during the Second World War, creator of the French Fifth Republic and President of France from 1959 to 1969.
